Chinese restaurant Noodle & Beer is set to open on Covent Garden’s Catherine Street.

Founded by Sichuan-born restaurateur Xiaoxiao Wang, Noodle & Beer will occupy a 1625 sq ft unit, including a private dining room.

The restaurant offers a menu of Sichuan-style noodles alongside a curated beer selection, a wine list curated by UK wine critic Douglas Blyde and signature cocktails created by mixologist Francesco Braun.

The new site joins the brand’s existing locations in Spitalfields and Chinatown, which opened last year.

“Signing in Covent Garden was a natural choice, given our success in Chinatown,” saysWang.

“We continue to target prime destinations to expand our presence in London, so Noodle & Beer will be right at home in this iconic neighbourhood, which is both community-focused and world-class, with a top-quality mix of F&B operators.”

Also joining the area is Italian artisanal sandwich brand Bread & Truffle, which will open its West End flagship at 7 New Row in an 810 sq ft unit. The brand specialises in focaccia sandwiches made with bread baked in-house and premium ingredients sourced directly from Italy.

The openings form part of Shaftesbury Capital’s latest additions to Covent Garden’s food and beverage offering. Other brands joining the area include Bubala, Experimental Cocktail Club, Lenny’s Apizza, Heard and Schofield’s Bar.
