The Wolseley Hospitality Group has appointed former The Ivy Collection managing director Laura Mills to lead the business.

Mills spent more than nine years at The Ivy Collection, rising from area manager to managing director.

Before that, she was operations director at Manchester-based restaurant group Living Ventures Restaurants.

The Wolseley Hospitality Group says she brings almost 15 years of senior leadership experience in hospitality, with a focus on developing teams and nurturing long-serving leaders.

“Walking through the doors of The Wolseley has always felt like an occasion,” Mills says. “It’s a place where European grandeur meets genuine British warmth, and where every guest, whether they’re in for breakfast or celebrating a milestone, is made to feel truly special.

“I’ve admired these restaurants for years, both as a guest and as someone in the industry, so it’s a real privilege to be joining such a talented team. My focus is simple: to protect everything that makes our restaurants so special, look after the people who bring them to life every day, and write the next chapter together.”

Previously known as Corbin & King, the group was founded by restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, who opened The Wolseley on Piccadilly in 2003.

Minor International, which had held a 74% stake since 2017, acquired full control in April 2022 following a protracted battle for ownership that saw King ousted from the business.

It renamed the company The Wolseley Hospitality Group later that year.

Its portfolio includes The Wolseley, The Wolseley City, The Delaunay, Brasserie Zédel, Colbert, Fischer’s, Bellanger, Soutine and Manzi’s in Soho.
