The Pastry Room launches 'freeze’n’flow' instant pastry

In the third of our week of news stories featuring products launching at The Hospitality Show, we preview the debut of The Pastry Room and its new product - a frozen pastry crumb which creates an instant pastry with the addition of water.

Product details:

Newly-formed company The Pastry Room is launching its 'unique' range of frozen pastry crumbs specifically developed for the catering or foodservice market this month and will be showcasing the product at its stand at the show next week.

The 'freeze’n’flow' process allows chefs to make quality, ready to roll pastry from scratch in less than two minutes by adding water to the pastry crumb. The crumb is available for suet, sweet shortcrust and all butter sweet pastry.

The product has been developed by trained pastry chefs using only natural ingredients.

The Pastry Room has just finished building a 4,000 sq.m. purpose-built factory in North Lincolnshire to manufacture the product.

USP:

The Pastry Room's product allows chefs to use as much or as little as the crumb as they want straight from the freezer. The manufacturer says the product delivers pastry of consistent quality every time.

Price:

List price for the pastry is £3.09 per kg including direct delivery.

Availability:

The product will be available direct from the manufacturer or from a growing network of suppliers - full details are available by contacting the company.

Why should you buy it?

Andrew Lamb, commercial director for The Pastry Room, said the product represents: "The best eating quality pastry recipe developed by pastry chefs that anyone can prepare, anytime in less than two minutes.”
