Napoli Gang - the recently launched delivery-only brand from Gloria and Circolo Popolare operator Big Mamma - is crossing the river for the first time with the launch of a dark kitchen site in Wandsworth.

The pizza-centric concept has dark kitchens in Kentish Town and Bethnal Green and also fulfils orders for both delivery and click-and-collect at Gloria, in Shoreditch, and Circolo Popolare, in Fitzrovia.

Napoli Gang will be available within a two mile radius of its new Wandsworth kitchen.

Big Mamma launched Napoli Gang in September and appears to be ramping up operations to coincide with the England-wide lockdown that came into force yesterday (5 November).

Ahead of the launch, the group said that it was hoping to ‘de-industrialise’ pizza delivery with 100% homemade dishes, no preservatives, additives or colourings and nearly all products imported directly from Italy.

Alongside 10 pizzas, the menu includes pasta dishes, fritti, cheese and meats, and desserts.

The irreverent, Paris-founded group is also looking to improve conditions for delivery drivers by asking its exclusive delivery partner Uber Eats to sign an ethics code.

In an apparent industry-first, Napoli Gang is giving 1% of each order value directly to the delivery driver.

Big Mamma - which was founded by Victor Lugger and Tigrane Seydoux in 2013 and operates seven restaurants in Paris, one restaurant in Lyon and a site in Madrid alongside its London operation.
