Revealed earlier this year, Sam & Jak follows the success of the pair’s barbecue restaurant The Firehouse at Upton, which is located in nearby Burford.
Split over two floors, the new venue will serve a menu that includes lamb, turnip tops and anchovy pangrattato; deep fried oyster with harissa crème fraiche; black truffle and ricotta gundi; and red mullet, brown crab with caper and lemon butter.
Sam & Jak is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week and will be open for dinner Wednesday to Saturday.
The pair also run an outside catering business and cook for private clients as well as events and have launched their own range of sauces.
Edwards previously worked and trained at The Manor House in Moreton-in-Marsh with both chefs having also worked at Bibendum in London.
The duo have run The Upton Firehouse, which is located on the site of the Upton Smokery, for the past few years with the restaurant serving a range of barbecue food and pizzas.
