Top-end Paris restaurant Café Lapérouse is to launch a London outpost within Whitehall’s upcoming The OWO hotel.

Billed as a ‘quintessential part of the Parisian dining scene’, the Lapérouse name traces its origins back to 1766. Owned by Moma Group, the inaugural Café Lapérouse, opened its doors in 2021 in the centre of Paris at Hotel de la Marine, on Place de la Concorde.

At The OWO, Café Lapérouse will be situated in the building’s central courtyard, housed within a modern indoor pavilion with room for 80 diners.

The space has been inspired by the travels of French explorer Jean-François de La Pérouse, and has been designed by art director Cordélia de Castellane.

Details of the menu are yet to be released, but the Paris venue offers a premium menu of largely French dishes with some international influences.

Formerly the Old War Office, The OWO will be home to nine restaurants and three bars when it opens to the public this summer, including two restaurants from Mauro Colagreco and Italian restaurant Paper Moon.

Founded in 1997 by Benjamin Patou, Moma Group is a global hospitality group with a portfolio of more than 30 venues in Paris and a handful of international locations.
