A café concept focused on sweet and savoury oat-based products will launch in Queensway next month.

It is hoped the 36-cover OATIS - which is close to Queensway tube station - will be the first of a number of sites.

The brand will champion steel-cut oats, using the ingredient in a range of products including sweet and savoury porridge available with various toppings, smoothies, topped toasts, pancakes and smoothies.

Sweet oat bowls include sticky banana and tahini while savoury option take in Steel Cut Club (poached chicken breast, crispy bacon, cherry tomatoes, avocado, pecorino crisp and almond gremolata).

OATIS will use ‘only the highest quality ingredients’ sourced from suppliers including Honest Oats, British Farmers and Innermost.

The brand’s steel-cut oats - a type of oats that are toasted and cut into small pieces by steel blades - will be prepared using water only to ‘the natural taste of the oats to complement the sweet and savoury toppings’.

Everything will be made to order fresh on site with ‘no hidden ingredients’.

“We are incredibly excited to launch our debut café in Notting Hill and we’re looking forward to joining the buzzing community there,” says OATIS co-founder and creative director Ines Verniers.

“We believe OATIS will be a fabulous addition to the diverse food and beverage scene and a wonderful spot for friends and families to spend a relaxed morning or afternoon enjoying healthy dishes made with quality produce.”
