Crowne Plaza London Docklands will launch an Australasia-inspired all-day bar and restaurant next month.

Fremantle Bar & Kitchen replaces the southeast London hotel’s Docklands Bar & Grill and will bring ‘a completely new drinking and dining experience to the area.

The new venture has been inspired by the history of the docks that surround it and draws on the influences from one of its longstanding trading partners, Australia.

The menu will ‘riff on culinary combinations from the Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia and South America’.

The ‘expansive’ open plan restaurant and bar, which also includes a year-round terrace and private dining spaces, has been designed to offer a warm, laid back ‘neighbourhood’ welcome throughout the day.

Central to the new restaurant, will be the Fremantle Bar. Alongside an international wine list, there will also be some nods to East London, including collaborations with East London Liquor Co. and the East London Brewery.

“This is a very exciting change for us at the hotel,” says Crowne Plaza London Docklands general manager Federico Aresti.

“The hotel restaurant has always been popular, but we wanted to welcome a completely new restaurant concept that has broader appeal for our neighbours and visitors to the area, as well as our hotel guests. We’re ready to open something very special and can’t wait to showcase the new Fremantle Bar & Kitchen.”

The development of the new restaurant has been managed in conjunction with RBH Hospitality Management.
