Slim Chickens UK expands into Germany
The Boparan Restaurant Group-operated Slim Chickens UK has moved into the German market by way of a partnership with the Foodelity Group.

The fast casual fried chicken brand will make its debut in Berlin later this year and has a further four locations in legals, with all five locations expected to open within the next 12 months.

Boparan Restaurant Group - which also operates Giraffe and Ed’s Easy Diner - struck a franchise deal with Slim Chickens USA to bring Slim Chickens to the UK market in 2018.

Over the past six years, Boparan Restaurant Group has aggressively scaled the business to circa 45 locations.

Slim Chickens was launched in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2003 by Tom Gordon and Greg Smart and has grown to nearly 200 sites across the US.

The menu is focused on the brand’s signature hand-breaded buttermilk marinated chicken tenders which are served alongside fifteen different dipping sauces.

“We are really pleased to be working with Foodelity Group. Over the past several months, we have developed a deep partnership, and we look forward to supporting the growth of the Slim Chickens brand across Germany,” says Boparan Restaurant Group CEO Satnam Leihal.

Slim Chickens COO Sam Rothschild added: “We have developed a great partnership with Boparan Restaurant Group collaborating with our knowledge, capabilities, and support that now enables Slim Chickens to initiate a relationship with Foodelity. We are thrilled to introduce Slims quality food and hospitality that will drive Slim Chickens as an exceptional fast casual chicken brand across Germany and beyond.”
