Burger & Beyond will open their first location outside of London this summer at upcoming Manchester food hall House of Social.

Founded in 2015 by Tom Stock and Craig Povoas, Burger & Beyond started as a food truck at KERB and Street Feast and now operates bricks-and-mortar sites in Shoreditch, Soho and Borough Yards.

Earlier this year it was announced that student housing developer Vita group is to open a five-kitchen food hall in central Manchester.

Spanning 12,000 sq ft, House of Social is billed as a collection of independent kitchens that will ‘showcase a range of both homegrown talent and incoming operators’ and will be positioned beneath student housing.

Within the First Street development, the project is being overseen by Jake Atkinson who was previously operations manager for the company behind Manchester food halls Mackie Mayor and Altrincham Market.

“After years of dreaming about bringing Burger & Beyond to new cities, we’re thrilled to finally be making our Manchester debut at House of Social,” Stock says.

The city has such a vibrant food scene, and we’re looking forward to sharing our burgers with a whole new audience. It’s going to be a fantastic summer!”

Vita Group and House of Social head of F&B Jake Atkinson added: “We are incredibly excited to have Burger & Beyond join us at House of Social. Their reputation for quality and consistency is second to none, and they’ve been on my list for a very long time!”

We know they’ll be a huge hit with our community of students and food lovers in the city. This is just the beginning, and we can’t wait to bring them to Manchester this summer.”
