Glasgow Italian restaurant with rooms Celentano’s will close at the end of the year ahead of relocating to an as yet undisclosed location in the city.

Owners Dean (pictured above) and Anna Parker say they are moving on after four years because the building that houses the Cathedral Quarter restaurant, Cathedral House, is up for sale.

Writing on Instagram, the couple said that Celatano’s would live on and that they are already working on ‘something new’ that is expected to launch early next year.

Having both previously worked for London-based chef Robin Gill, the Parkers launched Celentano’s in 2021 and quickly attracted a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

The couple added eight bedrooms to the site in 2024.

Dean’s cooking is described as ‘pared back and produce driven, with a tangible respect for ingredients, seasonality and skill’.

The menu at Celentano’s will comprise snacks, small plates, pastas, large plates and desserts, which are all designed to be shared amongst the table.

The current menu includes stracciatella with courgette, pumpkin Seed, black chilli and preserved lemon; pappardelle with Dexter beef ragu and Corra Linn; and dayboat monkfish with wilted greens and seaweed butter.

The restaurant is named after an Adriano Celentano song the couple listened to on their honeymoon.
