The halal Asian-fusion steakhouse brand has taken a 150-cover site on Shoreditch’s King John Court, just off Great Eastern Street.
The new restaurant will feature a bright, airy design with abundant greenery, natural wood finishes and warm lighting, “creating a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.”
Meet Bros opened its debut UK site on Craven Street in Paddington in 2022.
The project is a partnership between Serai Group managing director Najib Hamid and Syed Ashraf Syed Ali, the CEO of Malaysian headquartered meat supplier Palace Butcher Resources. Both have a 50% steak in the company.
The restaurant offers a wide range of high-end steak options, including wagyu and Danish Prussian Black.
Other dishes include BBQ beef nachos with cheesy sauce, jalapeño, tomato, onions and guacamole; and beef ribs biryani, described as “flavourful and unique steamed biryani rice with roasted BBQ beef ribs, tomato gravy, mint yoghurt and pickled vegetables.”
The concept is unlicensed, offering a wide range of alcohol-free options.
Ashraf Syed Ali says that further London sites are under consideration.
“The past few years have shown us just how much appetite there is for elevated halal dining done differently,” he continues. “Shoreditch felt like the natural choice for our next chapter. It’s a cultural and culinary hub that shares our energy, creativity and ambition. This new site is a statement of our growth and a sign of what’s still to come for Meet Bros.”
