Neapolitan pizza group Fatto a Mano has opened a site on Soho’s Dean Street, marking the brand’s eighth location overall and fifth in London.

Beneath Tottenham Court Road station, the restaurant has 70 covers inside, alongside a 40-cover terrace, and brings “Fatto a Mano’s signature blue and white interiors, walk-in friendly format and neighbourhood-first hospitality to the heart of Soho”.

Dean Street is famously not short of pizza options with brands including Pizza Express, Pizza Pilgrims and deep-dish brand Japes.

According to the group, Soho has been a strategic focus as it continues to build its London presence, with the opening reflecting Fatto a Mano’s ambition to expand in high-footfall areas where “flexible dining occasions and walk-in traffic align with the brand’s accessible, flavour-first model”.

“Soho has always been Italian in spirit. The cafés and restaurants here played a huge role in how London fell in love with Italian food, and that energy is still part of the neighbourhood today,” says founder Rupert Davidson.

“For an independent business that began in Brighton, opening our fifth London pizzeria in Soho feels like the right place for us to be.”

Founded in 2015 near Brighton’s Preston Circus, the group is now backed by Middleton Enterprises.

Fatto a Mano also operates two other locations in Brighton and Hove and five sites in London: Covent Garden, King’s Cross, London Bridge, Bethnal Green and, now, Soho.
