London-based caterer Green & Fortune has achieved B Corp certification, recognising its social and environmental standards as the business continues to expand its hospitality portfolio in the capital.

The certification comes ahead of further expansion for the business after it was appointed exclusive catering and hospitality partner for the new London Museum in Smithfield, which is due to open in late 2026.

Founded in 2008 by John Nugent and Peter Millican, Green & Fortune operates venues including Rotunda Bar and Restaurant, Kings Place Events and the Green & Fortune Café.

Beef and lamb supplied to the venues is sourced from the company’s own farm in Northumberland.

King’s Place is also home to an on-site butcher and hanging room, with select cuts supplied across the wider portfolio to ensure quality, traceability and reduced food miles.

Operating exclusively in London, the company partners with local organisations to recruit and develop talent as well as sourcing over 50% of its supplies from independent London-based operators.

The business employs more than 250 people and expects revenue to exceed £20m in 2026, up from £17.5m in 2024.

Green & Fortune is also London Living Wage accredited and has paid above the London Living Wage since December 2021, consistently introducing wage increases ahead of government timelines as well as regular salary reviews, cost-of-living payments and an employee assistance programme.

Additionally, the business focuses on community initiatives, including an annual St Patrick’s Day fundraising event which has raised more than £272,000 for charities, including Hospitality Action and the London Irish Centre.

Since 2020 the business has donated more than 20,000 meals to Copenhagen Street Food Bank in King’s Cross.

“Achieving B Corp certification is a hugely important step for Green & Fortune,” says Emma Williams, director of Green & Fortune.

“It is a marker in the sand for the way we have always chosen to do business - investing in our people, supporting our communities and taking responsibility for the impact we have as we grow.”

“Becoming B Corp certified gives us a clear framework for accountability as we continue to scale while staying true to our values.”

Dominic Potts, head of supply, systems and sustainability at Green & Fortune, adds: “We’ve never set out to tick boxes.

“Whether that’s farming our own beef and lamb, paying people properly, or committing to London as the only place we operate, these decisions have always been about building a better business for the long term.

“B Corp certification is recognition of that approach and a commitment to keep pushing ourselves further.”

The announcement coincides with B Corp Month and the Planet Peach Sustainability Summit 2026, hosted at Green & Fortune’s flagship Kings Place site on 4 March, where managing director Sarah Miller will speak on a hospitality expert panel.
