Greek hospitality group ERGON will bring its Taverna Ermou restaurant brand to London this month.

The seafood-led Greek restaurant, located at 38–40 James Street in Marylebone, will span 2,500 sq ft across a single floor, bringing the neighbourhood taverna model of its flagship site on Ermou Street in Athens to the capital.

Seating 120 covers, the new restaurant marks the concept’s international debut outside Greece.

Curated by culinary director Panagiotis Xanthis, the menu will be rooted in Greek culinary tradition and centred around what the team describes as a ‘fish soul’.

It will feature a selection of handmade cold and warm dips, Greek meze plates and fresh salads, alongside Taverna Ermou classics from the pot and grill, pasta dishes and signature desserts.

The design for the London restaurant uses raw materials and warm textures intended to reflect the atmosphere of a traditional Athenian taverna.

Founded in 2008, ERGON is a large hospitality group with sites across Greece, the UK, Qatar, the UAE and Cyprus, and a portfolio focused on Mediterranean food.
