Available throughout April, the new Double Dip menu celebrates the signature flavours for each brand is best known, reimagined as sauces designed for crust-dipping.
Sauces are: the Dishoom Chilli Chutney Dip; Honest Burgers Rosemary Chips Dip; The Pho Peanut Sauce; and Sweet Dee’s Jerk BBQ.
The launch follows research by the Neapolitan pizza group that 47 tonnes of crusts are wasted each year - the equivalent weight of four London buses - based on 2.3 million pizzas being sold per year, of which 20g of each pizza is thrown away.
“In Napoli, the crust is the soul of the pizza, and ours is made fresh daily using the best ingredients from the region,” say James and Thom Elliot, founders of Pizza Pilgrims.
“We started thinking - what if the right dips with some of our hospitality friends could save the nation’s crust-wasting habits?”
The crust dippers will be available in all Pizza Pilgrims pizzerias nationwide and via Deliveroo throughout April, priced at £2 each or £6 for the full set.
Through the Double Dip menu launch, Pizza Pilgrims is also celebrating World Wish Month - a global initiative that raises funds to grant life-changing wishes for critically ill children and their families.
Throughout April, the brand will double its donations - and wishes granted - from every dipper sold.
