The concept centres around schiacciata, a flatbread synonymous with Tuscany and Umbria and widely available throughout Florence.
With a focus on fresh and premium ingredients, the schiacciata is made daily with options including the Machiavelli - Tuscan pancetta, stracciatella cheese, nduja cream and grilled courgettes; Da Vinci - Mortadella, whole burrata, pistachio pesto and extra virgin olive oil; and La Fiorentina - fennel salami, pecorino cheese, truffle honey and extra virgin olive oil.
Veggie offerings such as: Ginevra - buffalo mozzarella, beef tomatoes, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil; and Il Magnifico - whole burrata, pistachio pesto, grilled courgettes, rocket and extra virgin olive oil are also available, alongside a vegan option of black olive spread, beef tomatoes, fresh basil and extra virgin olive oil.
Prepared in front of customers, the shop offers both eat-in and takeaway options, with all meats sliced to order.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Andrei-Valentin Bazavan and Cristina Affortunati in 2022, the brand also operates sites in Brick Lane, Fitzrovia, Hoxton and Holborn, which opened late last year.
Dal Fiorentino is open from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 6pm on weekends.
