The brand has taken over the kitchen of the third-generation family-run Old Street pub and operates daily, serving its signature fried chicken alongside a Sunday roast offering.
The Great British Menu-winning chef has produced a new menu for the site, including the OG chicken burger, with whipped blue cheese mousse, Buffalo sauce, bacon crumb, and bread & butter pickles; All Gravy Baby! chicken burger, with chicken gravy emulsion, crispy chicken skin, crispy onions, lettuce, and pickles; and the Katsuuuuuuuuuuu chicken burger with katsu sauce, pickles, sesame, apple, and coriander.
Trays of wings and chicken tenders with either Szechuan chili oil, sesame, and lime; jerk hot honey glaze; or satay, cucumber, spring onion, and peanuts, are also available as well as a selection of of snacks and sides.
Additionally, the menu will feature ‘secret hype dishes,’ set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Cochran, whose experience includes time at The Ledbury and The Harwood Arms, has built a reputation for bold, flavour-driven cooking influenced by his Michelin-level experience.
He is best known for his now closed Islington restaurant 12:51 which offered refined dishes that explored his dual Scottish Caribbean heritage.
Cochran originally launched the Around the Cluck during the coronavirus lockdown as a delivery brand.
It later reappeared within Valderrama, the chef’s short-lived Islington sport bar concept.
