Former MasterChef host Gregg Wallace is launching a live TikTok cooking show.

Gregg’s Kitchen is billed by Wallace as an “all-new crossover concept” combining a traditional cookery show format with TikTok Shop live selling.

The first show will run for 12 hours on Sunday 5 April, from 10am to 10pm.

According to a promotional post, Gregg’s Kitchen will feature live cooking with Reece Taylor - a private chef and culinary consultant - alongside guest conversations, business chat, and TikTok Shop offers on cookware, meat, desserts and cleaning products, with Wallace hosting throughout.

The first episode is sponsored by Malik Butchers, one of the UK’s largest halal butchers with a strong social media presence and nationwide delivery, and domestic cooking equipment manufacturer Cooksmart.

“We’re going to be cooking some amazing dishes. We’re going to have some incredible guests. Lots of cookery, live chat and, more importantly, very good offers for you to buy on TikTok Shop,” Wallace said.

Last year, Wallace was sacked from MasterChef following an inquiry into alleged misconduct, including the use of sexual language and unwanted physical contact.

Over a seven-month period, the investigation—run by law firm Lewis Silkin—heard 83 allegations from 41 complainants, all relating to his time as a presenter on MasterChef.

The investigation substantiated 45 of the allegations—just over half—following interviews with 78 witnesses and analysis of relevant documentation and unedited programme footage.

A summary of the findings revealed that the majority of substantiated allegations related to inappropriate sexual language and humour.

A smaller number of allegations involving other inappropriate language and instances of being in a state of undress were also upheld.

One allegation of unwanted physical contact was substantiated. Most of the allegations relate to behaviour said to have taken place between 2005 and 2018.

At the time, Wallace said he had been cleared of the “most serious and sensational” accusations. He also criticised the BBC for reporting what he described as “baseless and sensationalised gossip”, and has continued to respond to the claims on social media.

Wallace’s former MasterChef co-host John Torode has also turned to social media since his departure, with the Australian-born chef fronting a successful YouTube channel with his wife, Lisa Faulkner, titled John and Lisa’s Kitchen and Home.
