The restaurant will feature 110 indoor covers and a further 14 outdoors, alongside a semi-private dining room, counter dining, and a dedicated cocktail bar.
Led by head chefs Salih Serden and Akacan Agir, Lokal will focus on modern Turkish cooking with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients.
Inspired by regional flavours across Türkiye, the menu will feature refined small plates including handmade mezze and fresh salads alongside reinterpretations of classics, such as lamb tandır and lamb loin.
Signature cocktail serves will include Mesopotamia - a blend of tequila infused with padrón peppers, rosé wine, Campari and rosehip cordial; and Galata - a composition of Yeni rakı, Tokaji sweet wine, lychee liqueur and elderflower, paying homage to Istanbul’s iconic tower.
The design will feature raw materials and warm finishes for a contemporary yet welcoming setting.
“Following the success of Fred Bakery and Faros, we wanted Lokal to move beyond expectations of Turkish food and showcase its depth, diversity, and versatility,” says co-founder Burak Demirelli.
“London felt like the perfect place to do that - there’s an openness here to new ideas, while still appreciating authenticity.
“For us, it’s about bringing those two worlds together on one table.”
Lokal will be open Monday to Sunday from 12pm to 11pm.
