Which Wich has signed a new multi-unit franchise agreement in London as the Texas-founded sandwich brand looks to step up its expansion across the UK.

The deal will see several new locations open across the capital, strengthening the sub sandwich brand’s presence in London following its debut in 2018.

Which Wich currently operates three sites, two in London and a further site in Cardiff. A second site in Cardiff is set to launch later this year.

Additional cities, including Bristol, Swansea and Glasgow, are in the pipeline, according to the group.

Alongside its physical expansion, Which Wich has been developing partnerships, including a collaboration with Nestlé’s Seattle’s Best Coffee, which launched in Cardiff.

The new London sites are also expected to support the company’s growing catering business, which has seen increasing demand from corporate clients and large organisations across the city.

Founded in 2003 in Dallas, Texas, Which Wich operates more than 300 locations globally and focuses on made-to-order, customisable hot-toasted ‘WICHes’.

UK master franchisee Rami Awada said the company is seeing strong demand across multiple regions as it builds its presence in London, Wales and other UK markets.

“This is an exciting moment for Which Wich in the UK as we continue to build real momentum across multiple regions,” says Rami Awada, UK master franchisee of Which Wich.

“From strong performances in London to our expansion into Wales and upcoming launches in Scotland and the South West, we’re seeing strong demand for a high-quality, customisable offer.”

The agreement forms part of a broader UK growth strategy focused on building regional clusters and securing high-footfall locations such as high streets, transport hubs and retail destinations.

The company will also exhibit at the International Franchise Show on 17–18 April at ExCeL London, targeting prospective franchise partners.
