At 96 George Street, a prominent corner site with dual frontages onto George Street and Loxton Walk, Soraya will be the group’s largest restaurant, spanning 6,000 sq ft and seating 190 covers.
The restaurant – which offers ‘a contemporary interpretation of Persian cooking’ in a format that ‘moves easily from day into evening’ – follows the launch of Soraya Abu Dhabi, which opened in 2024.
Dishes at the Abu Dhabi site include consommé-ye morgh (rich chicken broth with parsley, dill and root vegetables); baby saffron chicken with lemon sauce and labneh glaze; and khoresh-e bamieh-ye gav (slow-cooked beef short rib with bamia and tomato stew).
Next door, at 8 Loxton Walk, Pachamama Group will launch a smaller, 1,200 sq ft street food concept, with further details on its name and cuisine to be revealed in due course.
Set to launch later this year, the two openings will form part of Loxton Walk, a new retail, wellness and dining destination.
Pachamama Group made its debut with modern Peruvian restaurant Pachamama in 2014, although that site has since closed. The group’s current portfolio includes Nina in Marylebone, Bottarga in Chelsea, Zephyr in Notting Hill, and Lagana in Shoreditch, as well as the recently launched Mareterra in Monaco.
A spokesperson for Pachamama Group said: “It’s a new chapter for the group – one we wanted to start somewhere that mattered. Marylebone has long been part of our story, and this next step allows us to grow while staying true to how we think about food, design and atmosphere.
“The larger all-day restaurant is shaped by experiences and influences that began beyond London, now being thoughtfully reinterpreted closer to home, while the second concept allows us to explore something more immediate, playful and neighbourhood-led.”
Puja Dowlani, retail associate director at The Portman Estate, added: “The Pachamama Group is a welcome addition to Loxton Walk, bringing not one but two new signature concepts to our destination. Their reputation for creating warm and beautifully executed dining experiences aligns with the kind of independent, innovative and stand-out F&B operators we champion across the estate.”
