Private chef and MasterChef: The Professionals season 17 finalist Gaston Savina has announced he is relaunching the French fine dining restaurant Cépage[s] in Notting Hill.

The restaurant reopens today (28 April) following ‘a longer than expected renovation’.

For Savina the reopening marks a return to the first restaurant he ever worked in a decade ago and his last role as a full-time restaurant chef before transitioning into private work.

The announcement made earlier this month via the chef’s Instagram reads: ‘I’ve been a little quiet lately, putting my heart and soul into the reopening of the very first restaurant I worked in when I arrived in London.’

Another post made earlier this month disclosed that Cépage[s] would continue with its offering of French fine dining, saying, ‘We will keep the same spirit, the same legacy – and hopefully add even more fun.’

Savina’s experience includes French restaurants and catering companies, including Paris at Le Dôme with Franck Graux and Potel & Chabot, as well as time working with Michelin-starred chef Christophe Langrée.

In London Savina launched his own private chef company in 2017. Since then, he has served high-profile events such as Milan Design Week, Paris Fashion Week, and the Cannes Film Festival.

He has also held executive chef positions at Hôtel de Pourtalès in Paris and Calivigny Island in Grenada.
