Deliveroo has launched an in-app feature enabling customers to browse real-time restaurant availability and book tables directly through its platform.

Initially launching in London, Deliveroo Reservations integrates SevenRooms’ reservation and CRM technology into the Deliveroo platform, giving customers access to tables at hundreds of restaurants, including Dishoom, Dove, Hide, Kricket, Barrafina, Kolae and Murano.

The new feature offers real-time booking data with a ‘what’s available tonight’ section; auto-filled details from Deliveroo accounts and calendar integration; as well as alerts which customers can opt in for notifications if a fully booked restaurant receives a last-minute cancellation.

Alongside increased distribution and visibility for restaurants, the integration directly connects Deliveroo bookings with SevenRooms. This means availability, bookings and cancellations are available in one place and update instantly without any manual input, it says.

The launch comes as new data conducted by 3Gem Research & Insights reveals that more than half (56%) of Londoners have given up on being spontaneous for dinner plans because of ‘booking dread’ – dread around the admin of finding an available table.

The research, commissioned by Deliveroo, also found 60% of people have given up on dinner because the research took too long, while more than half (51%) use three or more different websites or platforms just to find one reservation.

However, 73% of Londoners say they would eat out more if the process of booking was easier, highlighting demand for a more streamlined reservation process.

“This launch is about supporting restaurants to grow in new ways,” says Suzy McClintock, VP consumer and new verticals at Deliveroo.

“Whether it’s a Deliveroo order or a reservation in-store, we want to drive discovery, demand and revenue across every channel.

“By fully integrating SevenRooms into the Deliveroo app, we’re giving restaurants access to new customers and giving diners an easier way to discover and book some of London’s best tables – all in one place.”

The move follows DoorDash’s acquisition of Deliveroo and SevenRooms in 2025 and represents the first major product integration since the businesses came together.

It also builds on DoorDash’s initial US launch of in-app reservations in October 2025.

Joel Montaniel, VP, head of SevenRooms and co-founder, adds: “Restaurants thrive on the relationships they build with their guests.

“Bringing reservations into the Deliveroo app gives London restaurants a new way to connect with diners and grow, while making it easy for consumers to discover and book great restaurants.”
