Haldiram’s, which has more than 200 sites across north India, is opening a 120-cover restaurant with a further 20 outdoor seats in London’s Leicester Square.
Spanning 3,000sq ft, the venue marks a shift from Haldiram’s traditional quick-service model to a ore premium casual format. Dishes will include choley bhature, a popular North Indian chickpea curry served with fried bread; pao bhaji, a Mumbai-style vegetable curry; and raj kachori, a large, crisp shell with classic chaat fillings.

There will also be an expansive chaat selection alongside a range of fusion-led desserts, designed exclusively for the London venue.
The site will also have a dedicated retail area, featuring a sweets counter and shelves of Haldiram’s packaged products for takeaway, with UK-exclusive retail lines expected to follow.
“While Haldiram’s is deeply rooted in tradition, we are equally committed to evolving with our consumers,” says Rhea Agarwal, director of business development at Haldiram’s UK & EU.
“London is an exciting step in making Haldiram’s a household name beyond India.”
Founded in 1937, Haldiram’s now has a presence in more than 80 countries.
