The site will be located in Central St. Giles’s, a modern piazza designed by Renzo Piano that launched in 2010.
The development is already home to a number of restaurants including Ippudo, SuperStar BBQ, Cabana and Zizzi.
Emilia’s Tottenham Court Road will seat around 55 diners inside, and 25 on the covered outdoor terrace on the piazza.
Design details include Emilia’s signature textures of wood, terracotta hues and stained- glass accents ‘evoking the timeless character of Italian trattorias while blending rustic comfort with quiet elegance’.
The space will also be decorated with a selection of pasta-themed bespoke artworks ‘adding character and a distinctive visual identity to the restaurant’.
As with all Emilia’s locations, the Tottenham Court Road restaurant will feature a fully open kitchen with counter seating.
“We’re thrilled to be opening in Tottenham Court Road, an area we’ve been considering for some time. It’s exciting and rewarding to look back at how far we’ve come,” says Emilia’s founder and CEO Andrew Macleod.
“What’s most special is seeing our community of fresh pasta lovers grow with us along the way. We’re continuing to expand while staying true to what we do best: fresh, comforting pasta made daily with 100% natural ingredients. With this new Central London opening, we’re taking another step towards our goal of becoming the UK’s favourite pasta brand for the new generations”.
Macleod left behind a successful career in the poker business to launch Emilia’s Crafted Pasta in 2016.
The group currently operates restaurants in Aldgate, St. Katharine Docks, Canary Wharf, Marylebone and Victoria.
In 2024, Emilia’s Crafted Pasta launched a premium dried pasta range.
