Seafood restaurant Shrimp Shack will open its first restaurant outside of the capital this summer.

The group, which operates two restaurants in Streatham and Camden, will open at a 6,600sq ft at Printworks Manchester.

At the heart of the Shrimp Shack experience is its signature seafood boils, including the Shrimp Boil, Seafood Boil and Lux Lobster Boil. The menu is complemented by a Shack Savers Selection, which offers a range of dishes at a competitive price point, alongside a dedicated lunch menu.

“Expanding into Manchester is a major step for Shrimp Shack as we endeavour to grow beyond the capital,” says Rish Gola, co-founder of Shrimp Shack.

“Printworks’ central location offers the ideal setting for our first regional site with the destination’s scale and focus on experience aligning perfectly with our brand, and we can’t wait to introduce our take on bold, accessible seafood dining to Mancunians.”

Shrimp Shack was founded in Streatham in late 2023 by Balal Aqil, founder of Creams, Raf Adam, and Rish Gola. It opened its second site, in Camden, in July the following year. It has previously said that it was looking to expand nationwide.

“Securing Shrimp Shack’s first regional location is another strong indicator of Printworks being a perfect platform for ambitious, fast-growing brands looking to expand beyond London,” says Dan Davis, general manager at Printworks.

“Its distinctive offer and broad consumer appeal will further enhance our food and beverage line-up, supporting our strategy to deliver high-quality, experience-led concepts that drive repeat custom.”
