Under the agreement, German Kraft Brewery will oversee day-to-day operations across the site. The brewery will curate the street food offering and manage programming, shaping Model Market – which will retain its name - into an all-day venue.
Founded at Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle in 2017, German Kraft has built a reputation for combining beer with ‘lively hospitality experiences’ and supporting local operators.
Model Market will build on the site’s 1950s heritage while introducing a permanent destination for independent hospitality operators, retailers and creative businesses.
Landsec said the project is part of a broader plan to strengthen Lewisham town centre by integrating food, culture, independent retail, and community spaces to support long-term growth.

“We’ll be continuing the community social hub we ran in Elephant & Castle over the last 9 years.”
