The new venue, billed as the UK’s largest pancake and desser cafe, will occupy a 1,548 sq ft unit on Silbury Boulevard, adjacent to Costa Coffee, serving soufflé pancakes made to order using Japanese techniques, alongside a menu of croffles, sandos and brunch dishes.
The location will feature an open-kitchen layout, allowing customers to view food preparation. The menu will include breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
On the brand’s current menu, pancake options include toppings such as crushed Oreos and whipped cream with Oreo crumbs; blueberry sauce with caramelised lemon and fresh fruit; tiramisu cream dusted with matcha powder and white chocolate matcha sauce; and crushed pistachios with pistachio sauce.
Founded in Toronto in 2018, Fluffy Fluffy, which operates as a franchise, entered the UK market in 2022, where it currently has 18 locations nationwide, including sites in London, Brighton, Leeds, Newcastle and Oxford.
“The new centre:mk location feels like a natural next step in our expansion plans, which focus on targeting high-footfall locations across the UK,” says Maria Zhang, chief operating officer at Fluffy Fluffy.
“The region has a diverse and engaged audience, which we feel aligns perfectly with our unique concept.
“Our dynamic menu offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, making it the ultimate all-day dining spot.”
Joining Fluffy Fluffy at centre:mk will be Chinese-inspired quick-service restaurant Chopstix. The brand will occupy a 3,323 sq ft unit on Silbury Arcade next to TK Maxx. Chopstix will join other Asian-inspired food and beverage operators at the scheme, including Pho and Wagamama.
Kevin Duffy, centre:mk’s centre director, adds: “Both Chopstix and Fluffy Fluffy are strong additions to our F&B lineup, delivering quick service and dine-in concepts that will resonate strongly with our expansive catchment.
“Both brands offer high-quality yet affordable dishes, perfect for local workers, residents and visitors to the area.
“These signings reinforce our commitment to delivering a dynamic and well-rounded offer, with operators that complement the centre’s growing retail proposition.”
Centre:mk is ranked among the UK’s top 10 shopping destinations according to Pragma. Located 30 minutes from London, the destination attracts more than 21 million visits annually. Based in a Grade II listed building, the scheme spans 1.3 million sq ft and is home to brands including Mango, AllSaints, Charlotte Tilbury, MAC and Mulberry.
