Keeble, who was named Rising Star in the chef category at the National Restaurant Awards Rising Star 2026, will take up the role in September, joining from the Michelin-starred Mýse in York, where he was part of the opening team alongside founders Joshua and Victoria Overington in 2023.
Set to reopen on 1 October, the 12-seat Chef’s Table is located within the estate’s historic Coach House and focuses on seasonal tasting menus showcasing produce from Yorkshire, including ingredients sourced from the estate’s walled garden.
Keeble’s career began with baking alongside his mother before he studied professional cookery and secured his first professional kitchen role at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. His experience also includes time at Lord of the Manor in the Cotswolds, Michelin-starred pub The Wild Rabbit with Tim Allen, and at Gareth Ward’s Ynyshir in Wales.
The chef also reached the final of the Great British Menu this year, representing North East England and Yorkshire.

“My cooking celebrates modern British food, inspired by memories, tradition and the exceptional produce we have here in Yorkshire – whether that’s using produce from our kitchen garden, tenant farmers or local Yorkshire suppliers.
“I’m looking forward to joining the team in September and putting my mark on Chef’s Table – I’m excited to see what we can achieve; along with welcoming our first guests from October.”
The appointment comes shortly after Swinton Estate’s appointment of Steve Darou as executive head chef, who joined from St John Restaurants in London, where he previously served as group head chef.
Darou adds: “Jamie is one of the most talented young chefs working in Britain today.
“His experience at some of the country’s most respected kitchens, including Michelin-starred Mýse, together with his creativity, technical ability and genuine passion for seasonal British produce, make him the perfect person to lead the next chapter of the Chef’s Table.
“We are thrilled to welcome him to Swinton and excited to see his vision come to life from October.”
