The venue will occupy a former Bistrot Pierre site, which closed in March last year following the sale of the restaurant group in a pre-pack administration deal that saw the closure of eight sites.
Luka will serve a menu inspired by flavours from around the world, including Mediterranean-influenced dishes and premium steaks. Breakfast and brunch will be available during the day, while an early-bird menu will run from 4pm to 5.30pm before a full à la carte offering is served in the evening.
The restaurant will also feature live music and DJs, with plans to introduce supper club-style dining experiences from 9.30pm on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Led by the owner Bariscan Avcu, the team behind Luka has more than 10 years’ experience working in restaurants internationally.

The opening follows the agreement of a five-year lease for the Fishergate premises, with Lancashire-headquartered Forbes Solicitors advising on the deal.
