Fat Phill’s chooses Sutton for third London restaurant

Amsterdam-founded smash burger brand Fat Phill’s has signed a franchise
agreement with Freshly Baked to develop the brand across the UK. Initially, Freshly Baked will look to open three sites between 1,000sq ft and
1,800sq ft on busy Greater London high streets but hopes to launch 100
sites over the next 10 years.

Netherlands-based burger brand Fat Phill’s has opened its third London restaurant, in Sutton.

Located on the High Street, the new restaurant joins the brand’s sites in the capital Wood Green and Tooting Market.

Founded in Amsterdam by Armin Vahabian in 2019, Fat Phill’s is known for it smashed burgers and loaded fries, with a menu that features burger such as the Philly Cheesesteak, Double Cheese, and Nashville Hot Chicken as well as chicken tenders, BBQ and buffalo wings, and mac & cheese.

Fat Phill’s made its London debut early last year with a site in Clapham, but the restaurant has subsequently closed.

It currently operates 21 locations across the Netherlands, as well as two in Ireland in Dublin and Cork, and three in London.
