Called Fool’s Fix, the drink has been developed over more than a year and contains electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and prickly pear.
Announcing the launch on LinkedIn, Watt said the product was designed ‘specifically for after drinking’ and described it as a drink intended to support ‘hydration, detoxification and restoration after a night out’.
Watt said the brand is also offering customers a money-back guarantee.
‘If you don’t feel better the next morning, you get your money back,” the LinkedIn post read.
The launch follows Watt’s career as co-founder of BrewDog, the craft beer business he established with Martin Dickie in 2007.
In his LinkedIn post, Watt reflected on his involvement in the beer industry, writing: ‘I have made over 2 billion cans of beer.
‘Which probably means I have caused more hangovers than any other human on the planet. So perhaps this is karma.’
Alongside the product launch, the business is offering its first 20,000 customers the opportunity to claim 100 ‘Founding Shares’ in the company at no cost.
Watt said 10% of the entire company has been allocated to the initiative.
‘Not influencers. Not celebrities. Not some famous face in return for an Instagram post. Not investors,’ he wrote, ‘Customers’.
‘The people who actually buy the thing.’
Customers purchasing Fool’s Fix through the company’s website have the opportunity to claim the shares and become a co-owner of the new business.
He described the initiative as ‘an experiment in building a company completely differently’ and said the aim was to create ‘a new template for launching consumer businesses’.
The launch follows Watt’s bid to regain control of BrewDog, having submitted a formal offer to buy back the craft beer business from Tilray Brands, which acquired the company for £33m in March.
Earlier this year Watt also announcement plans to launch a new beer company, Second Best. It is not yet clear when the venture will launch or how it will be positioned.
