Dishoom has launched its first set menu, with a new weekday lunch deal aimed at office workers and ‘hurriers of all types’.

The Lunch with Promptitude menu is available Monday to Friday from 12pm to 5pm, with diners able to book ahead rather than queue.

There are two set menus to choose from, both designed to be shared between two people.

The Swift Vitality menu costs £16 per person at Dishoom’s London restaurants and includes a choice of salad followed by two grills.

Options include malai chicken salad and chilli broccoli salad, with grills including chicken tikka, murgh malai, sheekh kabab, makhmali paneer, gunpowder potatoes and saffron cauliflower.

The more substantial Prompt Replenishment menu costs £20 per person and includes one small plate to share of vegetable or lamb samosas, one grill of chicken tikka or makhmali panner, Dishoom’s house black daal and either chicken berry pulao or jackfruit berry pulao.

For diners outside London, the menus are priced at £15 and £18 per person, respectively, at Dishoom’s Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester restaurants.

Drinks, additional dishes and the optional service charge are not included in the set-menu prices.

The new set menus provide a cheaper alternative to Dishoom’s all-day menu with dishes such as its Chicken Ruby, priced at £18.90, while the Mutton Pepper Fry costs £20.20.
