The new venue will take over the former Waterside Café site following a major refurbishment and will serve coffee and breakfast in the morning, followed by lunch, drinks and dinner.
The project is being developed by Fauna Collective, the group behind Fauna Brewing and Taproom, Whiteways Cafe and Foresters Arms London.
The food will focus on seasonal, produce-led modern British cooking, with a seafood influence ‘reflecting the riverside location’.
The project will include a new glass frontage opening the building towards the river, alongside a covered riverside dining area with a retractable roof. The site will also feature an open beer garden, a larger kitchen and refurbished interiors.
Fauna Collective is also exploring boat hire and other river-based experiences to operate alongside the restaurant.
Work on the project is due to begin shortly, with River Kitchen scheduled to open in spring 2027.
