Brohmon Street will open on 1 October at The Rose & Crown Pub, offering a menu of healthy Bangladeshi and Indian street food. The menu will span curries, street-style snacks and wraps, drawing on the flavours, spices and traditions of South Asian street food.
The new venture follows a series of Brohmon Street menu trials at pubs, most recently at The White Hart in Puckeridge, where Ullah and Parvin tested the concept ahead of finding a permanent home in Ware.
Brohmon Street will initially open from Thursday to Saturday, from 5pm to 9.30pm, offering both dine-in and takeaway with delivery set to be introduced at a later date.
The opening marks the next chapter for Ullah and Parvin, who previously ran the now closed restaurant Brohmon in Stansted Mountfitchet. The restaurant, which focused predominantly on authentic Bengali food, received a number of awards, including the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards every year it was open.
“Brohmon Street is about bringing the energy and fantastic flavours of South Asian street food to Ware in a way people haven’t experienced here before,” says Ullah.
“Every dish tells a story, and we can’t wait to share that with the local community.
“We not only have chosen super tasty dishes, we have also made sure they are healthy too.”
It is understood that the pair hope to rollout the Brohmon Street concept to other pubs in the area.
