Popeyes UK saw its revenue increase by 50% to a record £178 driven by the addition of almost 50 new restaurants, its latest accounts reveal.

The fried chicken brand reported a leap in revenue from £119m to £178m in the 52 weeks to 31 December 2025, with adjusted EBITDA increasing from £9m to £17m for the period.

However, losses before tax increased from £4m to £6m.

During the period Popeyes UK passed the 100-restaurant milestone and had 108 company-operated and franchise operated restaurants in the UK by the year end, compared with 64 at the end of the previous year, and says it is on track to reach 150 locations across the UK and Republic of Ireland by the end of 2026.

“2025 was another year of very strong growth for Popeyes,” says Tom Crowley, CEO at Popeyes UK and Ireland. “This reflects the strength of our brand, the success of our expansion strategy and our continued investment in people, technology and operations.”

“We are making strong progress towards 2026 targets and remain highly confident in the long-term growth opportunity for Popeyes across the UK and Ireland.”

Popeyes recently launched its first loyalty programme Popeyes Rewards, which has already attracted more than 200,000 members.
