Market Halls says it had a ‘standout’ first quarter and summer trading period, delivering like-for-like growth across its bars and trader partners.

The food hall operator saw like-for-like growth across its bars rise by 16% while sales across its trader partners rose by 6%, with summer sporting activations, including the men’s football World Cup and Wimbledon driving sales and footfall across the estate.

Growth was led by strong food and drink sales, increased corporate bookings, and the continued success and expansion of its competitive socialising Games Hall concept.

Alongside robust trading in its London venues, Shelter Hall in Brighton delivered 10.7% like-for-like growth, which Market Halls says demonstrated the strength and scalability of its model in regional markets.

Sign-ups for Market Halls’ loyalty app Hall Pass increased 47% year-on-year, while spend through the platform grew by nearly 200%. Hall Pass members recorded an average transaction value 30% higher than non-members, it reports.

Three new traders are set to join the group’s Canary Wharf site this autumn - contemporary Indian concept Amma & Atta from the start of next month, followed by fried chicken brand Coqfighter on 21 October, and premium Japanese handroll and sushi specialist Takusan on 2 November.

“We’ve had a fantastic summer and first quarter in 2026, with strong growth from both our bars and traders, and momentum across every part of Market Halls. It’s particularly encouraging to see such broad-based growth, from our programme of summer activity, through to Games Hall, Hall Pass and corporate events,” says Dan Hills, CEO of Market Halls.

“The World Cup and Wimbledon gave us the opportunity to create some brilliant experiences for our guests, and the response exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, it reinforces what we’re seeing across our business; that people are continuing to seek out great food and drink, live events and memorable, shared experiences.

“We’re carrying this momentum into the rest of the year. With exciting plans for the festive season, new traders joining us across our venues and continued investment in the guest experience, we’re focused on giving guests even more reasons to visit Market Halls.”

Market Halls operates venues in Oxford Circus, Victoria, Paddington and Canary Wharf.
