Slim Chickens has entered the fight for lunchtime trade with the launch of a £8.95 meal deal.

Described as the fried chicken brand’s first ‘always on’ lunch deal the offer, which launched today (13 October), includes three Slims favourites, fries and a signature house sauce.

As part of the deal customers can choose from three tenders, a Slims wrap or six boneless bites Monday to Friday, between 12pm and 4pm.

The launch has been timed to coincide with the forthcoming half term, according to the company,

“Everyone is looking a little harder at value at the moment, but value shouldn’t mean having to compromise on what you actually want to eat,” says Tom Patrick, marketing director at Slim Chickens UK.

“We’re launching it just ahead of half term because we know people are looking for affordable ways to eat out, whether that’s grabbing lunch with friends, taking a break from work or feeding the family while they’re out and about.

The battle for lunchtime trade in the QSR and casual dining is intensifying as brands compete for better value. Last month Dishoom and Pizza Pilgrims both launched lunch deals targeting time and cash strapped customers.
