The US fried chicken brand is advertising for jobs at a site on Dalston’s Kingsland High Street.
Raising Cane’s, which is the third largest chicken operator in the US, is set to make its UK debut with the opening of a flagship restaurant on the site of a former Angus Steakhouse on Coventry Street in Leicester Square.
It has also lined up sites on Tottenham Court Road and in Kingston Upon Thames, according to job listings on its site.
The company, which was founded in 1996 by Todd Graves and Craig Silvey, said it intended to open up to five locations in the capital and across the UK as part of its first foray onto these shores, although more openings are expected.
Speaking at the time of the Leicester Square announcement, Raising Cane’s co-CEO and COO AJ Kumaran said: “Bringing Raising Cane’s to the UK has been a dream of ours for many years and we’re excited to officially open the doors to our UK flagship late next year.”
“We love the vibrant and eclectic atmosphere of Piccadilly Circus and are looking forward to marking this milestone with a flagship in the heart of London.
“With nearly 950 restaurants across the US and Middle East, Europe presents an excellent expansion opportunity as we embark on this next phase of growth, and we’re excited to begin that growth with the UK.”
