Marcus Wareing Restaurants appoints husband and wife chef patron
Marcus Wareing Restaurants has appointed Mark and Shauna Froydenlund as joint chef patrons at Marcus, at The Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge.

The husband and wife team have cooked at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant for over ten years and will now work in partnership with Marcus Wareing to take it forward.

The duo were part of the team which saw the restaurant change from Petrus to Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley in 2008, and then to Marcus in 2014.

Mark will focus on menu development while Shauna will oversee the recruitment and development of the restaurant team.

While the menu will continue to focus on contemporary British dishes, the team promises to introduce ‘exciting new changes’ to the food offering including new elements of ‘surprise’ for customers.

“We have both grown up in this kitchen at Marcus so to have the opportunity to enter into a partnership is incredible,” says Shauna.

“We can't wait for this new challenge, to be part of one of the most exciting restaurants in the world, to help grow the business and take the offering to new heights is simply amazing."

Wareing added that the ‘hugely exciting’ partnership would allow the restaurant to stay ‘fresh and vibrant’.

The Marcus Wareing Restaurants group also includes The Gilbert Scott at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, and Tredwells in Seven Dials.
