The group behind top London restaurants Kiln and Brat is plotting further expansion following solid financial results.

Super Eight, which also operates Mountain, Smoking Goat and the recently launched Impala (pictured above), saw turnover rise 13% to £22.5m in the year ended 31 July 2025 (2024: 19.9m).

Gross profit increased by 15.4% over the period with the gross profit margin at around 70%.

Operating profit rose from £2.5m to £7.6m. Pre-tax profit, however, fell slightly from £2.4m to £2.3m.

The group, which is led by Ben Chapman and Brian Hannon, said it was pleased with its overall performance and intends to expand and open more restaurants under its Super 10 Restaurants vehicle, which was formed in April 2024 and intended to increase its operating sites.

Writing in the results, Hannon said: “The directors remain optimistic for the future. The offers are being constantly reviewed and improved to give the best services to the customers. “Budgeted performances are reviewed against actuals to ensure constant growth and business monitoring.”

Last month, Super 8 launched North African-style charcoal grill concept Impala in partnership with chef Meedu Saad in Soho.

Founded in 2014 as the original Smoking Goat launched in Soho, the group operates a total of six sites across the capital.
