Put together by chef Sally Abé, who recently opened Hackney restaurant Teal by Sally Abé, and Topjaw producer Kayla Lawrie, the interactive map features more than 350 business and will continue to grow as more restaurants are added.
Revealing the map on social media, the pair say the idea was formed after they were unable to see all the female-owned hospitality spots across the UK in one place and so decided to create one.
They describe it as “built for people who want to book tables with a little more intention while celebrating all the talented women behind those businesses”.
Venues are located on the map with a pin, with information on who owns it, what it is, and with links to their social channels.
The majority of venues are currently listed in London, but the pair are encouraging people to give them details of more female-led businesses across the country so that the map represents the UK as a whole.
“And just to be clear, it’s not finished. Not even close,” they say. “We’re launching with 350+ already pinned, but we know there’s so many more to add.
“Eat your heart out.”
