Initially, the high-profile trio will look to “empower the current team and then patiently tweak and give some love back to the operation from 2027 and beyond”.
The news comes as it was revealed that Frasers Group has bought the South Bank restaurant’s owner Harvey Nichols through a pre-pack administration for a reported £40m.
The deal covers the six UK department stores, online business, stock, employees and international franchise arrangements, but the OXO Tower Restaurant - which is atop the Oxo Tower Wharf, a large mixed-use building - was reportedly not included.
Harvey Nichols has a separate corporate entity, Harvey Nichols Restaurants Limited, which remains listed as active at Companies House.
“We could not resist this gem of an Art Deco landmark,” Robson says. “The eighth-floor views are world famous and we look forward to working with the incumbent team and landlord to bring some additional character and energy back to this wonderful site.
“This will be a work in progress and I’m excited to see how our various media and culinary teams can help bring this beloved site to full potential. We’re looking forward to working with the social enterprise landlord, which sits harmoniously with our core values and B Corp standards.”
Robson, Croft and Murray launched Fallow in St James’s in 2021 following the success of a pop-up of the same name.
It has since become one of London’s best-known restaurants, thanks in no small part to Murray and Croft’s huge presence on social media.
In 2024, the trio launched their second London restaurant, Roe, in Canary Wharf.
The OXO Tower Restaurant was launched by Harvey Nichols in 1996 and played a major role in the transformation of South Bank.
