Robert Dymond and Joanne Hammond of Begbies Traynor were appointed joint liquidators of Laverlathe Limited last month.
Laverlathe, which continues to be named as Café Pacifico’s operator on the restaurant’s website, was compulsorily wound up in March following a petition filed last November.
The venue, which claims to be London’s oldest Mexican restaurant, remains open and continues to take bookings.
It is not currently clear whether the business has been sold to a new operator or is continuing to trade under the control of the liquidators.
Café Pacifico has a sister restaurant in Finsbury Park, Primos Mexican Cantina, but it is operated through a different holding company.
Café Pacifico was established in 1982 on 5 Langley Street.
It describes itself as London’s oldest Mexican restaurant and tequila bar, claiming to be have been the first restaurant to bring Mexican cuisine to the UK.
Its casual dining menu centres on Mexican favourites including tacos, fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, nachos and chimichangas.
The drinks offer has a strong focus on margaritas, tequila and mezcal.
