The trader line-up, featuring 10 operators, will include Argentinian Grill, serving flame-grilled meats and steaks; Hide & Greek, offering gyros, wraps and loaded fries; and Inamo Sukoshi, specialising in sushi and Japanese-inspired street food.
Other operators include Jollof Mama, serving West African dishes inspired by Nigerian flavours; Caribbean-Indian concept Limin; Italian pizza specialist Made in Puglia; Korean-inspired SABA; Latin American trader Streat Latin; Thai House; and The Duck Shed, which will serve duck wraps, burgers and other duck dishes.
The food hall, first announced this summer and described by the brand as the UK’s first station-based food hall, will be located in Victoria Place Shopping Centre, with entrances from the station concourse, taxi rank and Eccleston Bridge. Spanning 5,000sq ft, it will seat 180 guests and feature a central bar serving cocktails and craft beer, and screens showing live sport and train departure information.
“Victoria is one of the busiest stations in the country, so we wanted to create something that feels completely different from the usual train station food experience,” says Holly Hilton, marketing director at Market Place Food Hall.
“We want to make grabbing a proper meal before your train just as quick and easy as standing in a queue to pay for a meal deal, but with 10 independent food traders, great drinks and a proper place to sit and enjoy it.
“And because we have the live departure screen inside the food hall, you can even sit back with a pint, keep an eye on your train and know exactly when it’s time to head to the platform.
“It’s about making the journey feel like part of the experience, rather than something you simply rush through.”
Market Place Food Hall will join the existing - and similarly named - Market Halls food hall, which is located opposite the station’s entrance.
Since launching in 2020, Market Place has established venues in St Paul’s, Vauxhall, Harrow and Peckham, as well as its newest flagship location in Leicester Square.
