Sandwich Sandwich is opening a site in Birmingham, in what will be its eighth location.

The popular sandwich chain, which launched in 2010, will open its new venue tomorrow (22 October) on Temple Street in the city and will give away its first 500 sandwiches for free.

The new opening marks the third city in which the Bristol-based sandwich business now operates, following its move into the capital in 2024. It currently operates two sites in Bristol and five in London.

“I can’t even begin to tell you all how grateful I am that we’ve got this opportunity to open in another city,” says founder and CEO Nick Kleiner.

“Every single one of you that’s supported us over the years have got us to this point. Without you we are nothing. You allow me to chase our dreams every day and I will forever be in your debt.”

“Opening in a completely new city is incredibly scary but seeing your reactions before we’ve even officially announced it has made me so excited.”

Kleiner says as well as the sandwich giveaway, there is an opportunity for a customer to win free sandwiches for life, “which is nice, fun and pretty beneficial if you live within one mile of the store”.
