Loungers will bring its more formal restaurant and cocktail bar concept, Cosy Club, to London later this year after securing a site at Westfield Stratford City.

The brand – part of the same group as Lounge and Brightside – is currently recruiting for the opening, with applications closing on 19 May.

The Westfield Stratford venue will be the group’s 37th Cosy Club site and follows a wider programme of refurbishment across the estate.

Loungers unveiled a reimagined look and branding for Cosy Club last year, which has since been rolled out to sites including Manchester, Reading and St Albans.

Managing director Lucy Knowles said the new direction marks “quite a departure” from the previous branding, with increased emphasis on “glamour, sophistication and opulence”.

The updated concept also includes an elevated menu of modern British classics and Cosy Club specials, developed in collaboration with chef and TV personality John Hooker.

Founded in Bristol in 2002, Loungers opened its 300th site in August 2025 and believes there is potential for more than 600 locations across the UK in the longer term.

Cosy Club launched in 2010 and is positioned as a more special-occasion-led offer than Lounge, the group’s more casual neighbourhood café-bar brand.
