Viral Chinese restaurant brand Noodle Inn has secured a site at Battersea Power Station.

Set to open later this year, the restaurant will bring the brand’s London estate to three sites.

Noodle Inn is known for its noodle-pulling theatrics, hand-pulled biang biang noodles and long queues outside its flagship Soho restaurant.

According to its website, Noodle Inn has also acquired a site on Edinburgh’s Morrison Street, close to Haymarket.

Noodle Inn launched its debut restaurant just outside Chinatown on Soho’s Old Compton Street in 2024 and now also operates a site near Liverpool Street Station.

Signature dishes include biang biang noodles (extra-wide Shaanxi-style noodles), chilli oil spill noodles, braised beef brisket, and a selection of wontons and dumplings.

The restaurateur behind Noodle Inn is Alex Xu, who also created Kung Fu Noodle, another fast-expanding contemporary London noodle concept.

Battersea Power Station has named 10 other F&B brands set to open this year, including Argentine food specialist Chango Empanadas, modern Japanese restaurant Konjiki and Swiss luxury chocolatier Läderach.

“Battersea Power Station is delivering on its ambition to be one of London’s most compelling mixed-use destinations. Having welcomed more than 40 million visitors since opening in 2022, we are a testament to the enduring appeal of in-person retail and leisure, with a focus on experience and connection,” says Harriett Renny, director of commercial leasing at Battersea Power Station.

“This approach enables us to attract an exciting mix of new brands across fashion, food and leisure, while continuous evolution draws new audiences and encourages repeat visits, further cementing Battersea Power Station’s position within London’s thriving retail scene.”
