French brasserie operator La Nouvelle Garde has confirmed that its debut London restaurant will launch in early July.

First revealed at the end of last year, Brasserie Olivia will open on Sloane Square in a site previously occupied by Côte.

Founded by Charles Perez and Victor Dubillotin in Paris in 2019, La Nouvelle Garde now operates nine brasseries across France.

Brasserie Olivia has been designed by B3 Designers.

Design details include , a ‘speakeasy-style’ bar with a 1970s aesthetic, oak panelling and antique objects.

Guests will be invited to select their own music to play on the turntables.

The brasserie will serve what it describes as ‘resolutely homemade’ French cooking using locally sourced produce.

Dishes featured on menus at its French sites include bavette of beef, blanquette de veau, country terrine, truffled saucisson, tarte tatin and profiteroles.

“We established La Nouvelle Garde for one reason: to preserve the French art de vivre and bring a new golden age to the traditional brasseries everyone is used to,” says Perez.

“We’re so excited to be bringing this to London with Brasserie Olivia and look forward to introducing our cuisine to everyone.”
